Phil's work is wonderful, and even more so in person!

to me, the exquisiteness of painting, spirituality, writing, and lifelong devotion, make Phil Kurz a latter-day Vincent Van Gogh. i look so forward to closer examining his writing closely, as i have Van Gogh's. i am so blessed to have attended the show's opening, and have passed word of it on to many across NC & TN.

To me it is apparent that he was lucky enough to find his own creative path full of joy, invention, honesty and wonderment, something many of us only aspire to attain.

I have been fascinated by Phil Kurz's life and work for decades. His work, like his life, is full of wisdom chasing after beauty and spirit. He was able to get so close to both, but risked melting his wings in the sun.
